Terms & Conditions

The Hirer acknowledges that the hire of any equipment supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire is subject to the following hire conditions:

1. Booking Confirmation

• Bookings are not confirmed until the Security Bond amount stipulated by Nomadic Camping Hire has been paid and received. A Security Bond is generally between $100 - $250 per booking but may be more for group bookings.

• Any outstanding invoice amount must be paid 7 days prior to the equipment collection date as stipulated on the invoice provided by Nomadic Camping Hire. A booking made within 7 days from the equipment collection date must be paid within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.

• Nomadic Camping Hire reserves the right to change the hire rate without notice, unless a valid quote has already been issued by Nomadic Camping Hire.

• Hire rates are charged on a per-night basis.

• Hire rates are seasonal and may be updated when you receive your quote.

2. Cancellation Policy

• Booking cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the booking commencement of hire will receive a full refund.

• Booking cancellations made between 8 and 13 days prior to the booking commencement date will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total invoice amount.

• Booking cancellations made between 4 and 7 days prior to the booking commencement date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total invoice amount.

• A 100% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made within 3 days prior to the booking commencement date.

• To avoid a cancellation fee, a booking may be placed into credit on request to be used for alternative travel dates within 12 months, subject to availability.

• Where a Security Bond has been paid and the booking is cancelled prior to the equipment collection date, the Security Bond will be refunded in full.

3. Security Bond

• Nomadic Camping Hire reserves the right to charge a Security Bond on all equipment hired. The Security Bond covers the loss, theft, damage (other than normal wear) and/or cleaning costs of the hired equipment.

• The refund of the Security Bond will be processed within 3 working days upon Nomadic Camping Hire’s satisfaction that the equipment has been returned in a clean condition and in working order, unless loss or damage has occurred, in which case it will be held until all costs are finalised and deducted from the Security Bond monies.

4. Hire Equipment

• Nomadic Camping Hire will test all equipment before the commencement of hire.

• All equipment supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire remains the property of Nomadic Camping Hire.

• The Hirer accepts full responsibility for all equipment hired to them by Nomadic Camping Hire.

• All hired equipment must be returned in clean and working order, having been used only for its intended purpose. If the hired equipment is not returned in a clean and working order, Nomadic Camping Hire will recover all reasonable cleaning and repair costs from the Hirer’s Security Bond.

• All damages to equipment while in the possession of the Hirer must be reported immediately to Nomadic Camping Hire.

• If the repair or replacement cost exceeds the total Security Bond paid, the Hirer will pay by direct deposit the balance owing within 14 days. Should the recovery of outstanding monies be warranted, the inclusion of all costs incurred to recover said money including, but not limited to interest accrued, loss of profits due to failure to return the equipment, court costs, legal fees, etc. will be paid at the expense of the Hirer.

• Nomadic Camping Hire provides no warranty for the equipment hired or its suitability for any purpose.

• Nomadic Camping Hire does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, damage or loss caused to any person or persons or property belonging to the Hirer or any third party arising from the use of the hired equipment. Notwithstanding how such injury may have arisen, it is the Hirer’s sole responsibility to ensure that the hired equipment is appropriate for the Hirer’s intended use. The Hirer hereby assumes and shall bear the entire risk of loss for theft, damage of, or destruction to equipment from any and every cause whatsoever.

• The Hirer agrees to thoroughly read any equipment manuals provided by Nomadic Camping Hire. Where the Hirer does not understand any aspect of an equipment manual, the Hirer agrees to not use the equipment associated with the manual/s before seeking and receiving clarification from Nomadic Camping Hire.

• Gas and butane stoves, gas lights, candles, or any other object that produces a flame is not to be used in any swag, tent, gazebo or other shelters supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire.

• Smoking is not permitted in any tent, swag, gazebo or other shelter supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire.

• No pets are permitted in or on any swag, tent, gazebo, shelter, stretcher or any other equipment supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire.

5. Suggested Itineraries

• Any itineraries created and supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire are suggested itineraries only. Nomadic Camping Hire do not accept any responsibility for any vehicle hire damage, property damage or fines incurred by the Hirer while following the suggested itinerary.

• The Hirer accepts full responsibility for any vehicle hire damage, property damage or fines incurred by following a suggest itinerary supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire.

6. Early / Late Return of Equipment

• No refunds will be given for the early return of equipment.

• Where the Hirer requests an extension of the hire period, Nomadic Camping Hire will endeavour to assist, subject to stock availability.

• Where the Hirer returns the equipment after the agreed time and date and without the prior consent from Nomadic Camping Hire, a Late Return Fee will apply. The Late Return Fee will be equivalent to all hired equipment items charged individually and at a single night rate for the total number of nights including and beyond the agreed return date as stipulated on the Hirer’s invoice.

• Nomadic Camping Hire reserves the right to recover the Late Return Fee from the Hirer’s Security Bond.

7. Insufficient Vehicle Space for Equipment

• It is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that a suitable vehicle is utilised to transport all hired equipment supplied by Nomadic Camping Hire.

• No refunds will be given for equipment that does not fit in the Hirer’s vehicle.

8. Indemnity

• Nomadic Camping Hire is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, actions or claims arising either directly or indirectly from any representations, warranties, terms or conditions expressed or implied for the use, maintenance, transport or operation of the hired equipment or otherwise, whether resulting from the negligence of Nomadic Camping Hire, Nomadic Camping Hire’s employees, agents or otherwise to the Hirer or Hirer’s servants or agents.

9. Validity of the Terms and Conditions

• Should a Court of competent jurisdiction find that any term or condition of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable by Law, then the invalidity or unenforceability of the term or condition will not affect any other term of condition of the agreement.
